A dreamy elopement on the Adelaide Coast

Ever thought about having an intimate wedding - or even taking this whole thang to the next level - eloping?!

Well, if you don’t know what this means or you’re after some serious inspo of how the freakin heck to do this in good old Straya, this is the post for you! Alright, we’ll dive right in. Eloping is probably a bit more common or known in the USA - I follow countless instagram accounts of elopement photographers, and trust me - this is THE dream, at least for me. Basically, two people that are engaged decide to go against the traditions and save the money that usually goes into all the food and beverages for the party guests, location hire, etc. (you know what I’m talking about - I think lots of couples end up having a wedding to do their guests and families a favour rather than themselves). Well, in this case - the big bucks are spent on traveling to a beautiful place, hiring a celebrant and a photographer that stays with you for a day or even a few, maybe bringing a few family members or friends along and creating the memories of a lifetime.

One of my lovely fellow photographers, mastermind Oh Wild, had the amazing idea of doing a styled shoot in Adelaide (SA) to show people interested in eloping and intimate weddings what is possible to do, basically in their own backyard. She brought together a great team, which involved the stylist Ever After Eventhire and florist Leaf and Lotus that made all your coastal, bohemian Mamma Mia wedding dreams come true. Alecia and Luke were the amazing couple volunteering to have some photographers jumping around them for the night - they are some real lovebirds and absolute couple goals - they’re already hubby and wifey in real life and have two beautiful daughters.

If you made it till here - thanks for reading and enjoy looking at these stunning shots. Love is in the air!
